About the Event

Over the last months, we coordinated a group of researchers focusing on Water Security in the Middle East. In a partnership with Arava Institute for Environmental Studies, IEMed and under the supervision of Euromesco, we brought together researchers from across Europe and the Middle East to examine trends related to the current state of water, the nexus between water, energy and security, and the trends relating to securitization and de-securitization of water. While examining these trends, this group also aim at identifying policies relating to the role of the European Union in enabling and ensuring Water Security. In this Dialogue Workshop, we will present the chapters while presenting two case studies focusing on wastewater and sewage water treatments. The different presentations will be followed by an open discussion.
